What I Wore Sunday: St. Patrick’s Day

Joining up with the ladies at Fine Linen and Purple to show off our Mass-wear… you know you missed seeing these the last few weeks.

I’m still in that oh-so-awkward stage of no longer filling out my maternity clothes and definitely not squeezing into my prepregnancy pants, so it’s really limiting my wardrobe. Also, I discovered this morning that I don’t own very much green, so my options were even more constricted. Here’s what I came up with after nearly giving up and wearing my momiform of a tee and yoga pants to Mass- luckily I haven’t hit that low yet: Continue reading

Firmoo Glasses – First Pair Free!

I had seen Ana’s post about some stylish new glasses she had gotten from Firmoo, an online eyewear store, and had decided to make a new pair my own. It’s only been about, oh, six years since my last pair of glasses, so I thought it was high time I got a new pair. (To be honest, the first four of those years I’d primarily been wearing my contacts, but still.) All I had to do was get my eyes examined, but I’m nothing if not a procrastinator and took a good month to schedule an appointment. Luckily for me, my procrastination paid off! I got an email from none other than Firmoo offering to give me a new pair of specs for an honest review on my blog. Sweet.

Anyway, Firmoo has this awesome deal going on right now- your first pair of glasses is free! All you pay is shipping. How awesome is that? They have a large selection of both prescription and nonprescription glasses on their site, so there’s something for everyone, whether you need glasses to improve your vision or just want to expand your fashion accessories.

After I went to my exam and had my prescription in hand, I made my way over to their website and found these glasses in the tortoise color. I uploaded a photo to virtually try them on, entered my information (which was very easy!) and placed my order. It literally took just a couple of minutes. They shipped rather quickly and overall, I was pleased with the results:

and closer:

I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the glasses came with a repair kit, travel case and cleaning cloth, which I’ve never had included with any previous glasses purchases… maybe I only shop at cheap places, but I thought it was a nice touch.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was disappointed to see that the inside of the hard case was cracked when I opened it. Not a big deal, just keeping it honest.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend heading over to check out Firmoo and taking advantage of their first pair free deal pronto. If you don’t like them, you can refund or exchange them, so what’s to lose? Now scoot!

What I Wore Saturday Night

Linking up again with everyone at Fine Linen and Purple today-

I’m really mixing things up this week- not only did we go to the Saturday vigil Mass this week, but I also got Joe to crash the outfit party. Crazy times, I know.

Grace was already in bed, so we didn’t have a photographer to document our Mass clothes in one photo, hence the awkward pics of each other. Maybe I could learn Photoshop and make it look like we had a nice couple photo? I’ll add it to the list of things to do to keep myself awake during the nighttime feedings with bebe numero dos.

And now to the all-important “who what are they wearing?!” questions:
on Francine:
gray tank: Target
orange/pumpkin shirt: Old Navy
giant belly: 38 week gestated baby/verrrrry filling dinner
jeans: Motherhood Maternity

not pictured: cream-colored scarf: Gap Outlet
my Aerosoles boots that appear almost every other week

on Joe:
shirt: Kohl’s
pants: Kohl’s

not pictured: Sketchers shoes

Now, off you go to see other, better dressed Sunday churchgoers here.

What I Wore Sunday

Another Sunday, another outfit post:

she wanted to hold hands for the photo op

accompanied by my little cheerleader (“Woohoo!”), who put on her church shoes to be in the pic (her idea).

This whole linkup idea is totally wreaking havoc on my usual recycle-Mass-clothes-every-three-weeks routine, but I don’t think I’ve shared this little number with the world wide web as of yet. Surprising, because it’s easily the most comfortable combo of clothes that I can wear right now.

top: Younkers (apparently the only place I’ve gotten maternity clothes?)
pants: also Younkers
boots: Kenneth Cole Reaction
giant belly: gestating baby (36 weeks tomorrow!)

For many more outfits worn by ladies (and gents?) with less stubby-looking legs, head on over to Fine Linen and Purple.

What I Wore on Christmas

I didn’t manage to get a solo pic, so here’s a less awkward photo of the family on Christmas morning:

outfit details:
cardigan: Target
dress: Kohl’s maternity clearance rack
leggings: Target
boot socks: PeekABoot
boots: my trusty Aerosoles, purchased at Younkers
goofy smile on Grace’s face: first taste of candy cane

linking up over at the Camp with Grace and friends, then off to enjoy some Christmasy cocoa that I wish I could add a little Bailey’s to… only a few more weeks 🙂
