Gemma: Eleven Months
This baby is walking! She took her first steps at nine months, but now is walking more than crawling. She definitely prefers being upright and tries hard to keep up with her big sisters. I already miss her funny speed-crawl, but it still cracks me up to see her walk around a corner into the room I’m in.
Her other new tricks are sometimes sleeping through the night, clapping, high-fives, and dancing. She also knows who each of us are by name, and it’s so cute to see her look for Grace or Sophie.
It feels as though Gemma is constantly teething, and the current count is eight… though there may be more coming in. Luckily, she’s generally a happy kid, so even the teething phases haven’t been too terrible.
Her current favorite things are eating, her burp cloths, climbing into carseats (preferably if little cousins are inside), playing peekaboo, stealing phones and remotes, and wiggling into pop-up tents or under blankets with someone.
(sorry about the terrible photo quality–apparently I didn’t take many good ones recently!)
