Gemma: Four Months
There seems to be such a big difference in little Gem in the last month–she just seems like an older baby. We saw some friends with their newborn on Sunday, and it hit me how much bigger Gemma is now. Her cries don’t sound so tiny anymore, she rolls over all the time, and she recently found her feet.
She greets me with a smile every morning, which is more than what I’ve been able to muster lately–her sleeping habits have gone from a lovely, magical 11pm-7am stretch to waking all the time. I’m so ready to start sleep-training her, but with two very busy weekends coming up, it doesn’t seem worth it yet. Until then, I’ll be drinking coffee like it’s my job.
She loves the attention from her sisters, and laughs easily with them (Grace especially) and her dad… she’s stingier with her mother. Her usual hangout is in the bouncy seat, and she kicks like crazy in there, which never fails to make me laugh. Gemma also does a funny little squeal randomly–recently while watching the Property Brothers. Girlfriend loves her some HGTV, which I’m totally okay with.
