Monday Highs and Lows
High: Lots of snuggly baby time.
Low: Gemma is only sleeping when she’s held today.
Low: Our laptop basically fried a couple of weeks ago, hence my blogging absence.
High: We got a new one, and I finally get to use it today.
Low: Gemma and I had an especially short night of sleep last night, so I may have told Joe that he was the worst when he told me he was heading in to work today. He has a real treasure of a wife.
High: He went in late and came home early.
High: I finally started getting caught up (okay, less behind) on laundry.
Low: Two out of three kids required wardrobe changes… and not just for playing dress up.
Low: The older girls mostly just had a screaming contest instead of napping. Also, they trashed their room.
High: At least they weren’t fighting.
Low: At one point when it was especially quiet, I went to find out what the kids were up to. I found them coloring in a coloring book with markers on the guest bed. (!)
High: Luckily, they were color wonder markers (best invention EVER) so, bullet dodged this time.
High: The kids were quietly playing by themselves.
Low: Sophie found markers that do show up on skin and clothes.
High: Grace said the basement was cleaned up after I forced them (I’m a mean mom) to tidy up their messes.
Low: Her pants might be on fire, because she was totally lying.
High: There’s an open bottle of wine with my name on it.
High: It’s after five on the east coast, which is good enough for me! Cheers!
