Sophia: Ten Months
We’re now in double digits! All of a sudden little baby Sophia isn’t quite so babyish anymore.
Sophie is pulling herself up on anything that will hold still long enough, even using Grace as a prop sometimes, which is a feat because Grace never ever stops moving ever. She can transfer from one piece of furniture to another, and occasionally will try to let go. We now have to keep the bathroom door closed, because she weirdly likes to hang out in there. She loves being around people, and will shadow us as we move around the house, and always makes a beeline to the door when Daddy comes home! Sophie also likes to carry various items while she crawls around – a cup, a ball, a play spoon, Grace’s furry hat, Grace’s discarded sock.
There haven’t been any new teeth yet, but I think (and pray – teething is fun for no one) that there will be some new ones soon. The clinginess that’s been happening lately needs to stop.
It’s fun to see her discover new things, and to see new facets of her personality. She’s learning to clap and wave, and it’s cute to see Grace try and coach her into one or the other. She also knows when she’s getting away with something (or thinks she is – playing with a toy of Grace’s, for instance) because she gives a big grin when she’s caught and tries to rapidly crawl away.
