What I Wore for my Sunday Best

It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, and because I know that’s why you keep checking here, I would hate to disappoint. Also, how could I miss jumping on the double linkup train? I couldn’t, so here I am, linking up with FLAP and Camp Patton.

This is the best I could throw on in a short time. We’re still getting used to the summer Mass schedule, which means our Mass is one hour earlier. We like it- but it means less prep time, and I always drastically underestimate how long it will take to get everyone ready. So, no jewelry except the earrings I was wearing and no hairstyle… I’m just thankful it wasn’t still wet by the time we arrived a few minutes late.

I really wish I had some great reflection on the Mass, like everyone else seems to do, especially for yesterday’s feast day. Unfortunately, in this season of holding/wrangling little ones, I usually have no idea what anyone is saying and am just thankful for the graces I know we’re all receiving by being there. Sophie did her best to distract Joe the entire time by smiling at him the entire time, which was both funny and distracting.

And now for the report cards:
Grace: A (she managed to only whisper to the people behind us and broke the skin on my leg when she pulled the kneeler down with some force)
Sophia: A- (she was quiet even though she was awake the whole time… I might have actually caught more than half of the readings/homily if I wasn’t trying to catch her spit-up allll through Mass)
I’m honestly surprised they did this well, especially considering we had to slip into the back since we were late instead of our usual spot in the front. We’ve found that it’s easier for all of us to pay attention when everything is happening right in front of us.

Now that you’ve humored me (maybe you haven’t, I don’t know) go see everyone’s better than my best.

Love that maxi!!! My mom has a sewing machine, I might need to enlist her to make me one or two… But she’s such a procrastinator that I bet she wouldn’t make them until like, a year from now πŸ˜›

Ha! So is my mom (and me)! I just lucked out a year ago and we were both in the mood to make it happen.

So cute! I love the stripes w/ that maxi. Not gonna lie, I’m a tad jealous b/c my maxi skirt is way to clingy for me to wear right now. Hazards of online shopping a few months postpartum. πŸ™‚
    Hooray for 2 mass A’s!
