What I Wore for Sophie’s Baptism

Finally, Sophia is no longer a heathen! She was born two days before Lent started, and this was the first post-Easter weekend that was free (how is spring always so busy??) so we were able to cross her first Sacrament off the list. She even got into everyone’s good graces by not crying and waiting to spit up all over her gown until after it was over.

We asked my sister and Joe’s brother to be the godparents, but since Ben couldn’t really fly up from Florida for just the weekend, we had my brother stand in. Ben, if I spoke Photoshop I’d totally add you in to this photo of Sophie being anointed:

We were blessed to have my grandparents come for the occasion, and so we took a four-generation photo with my grandma. Don’t worry, Grace didn’t care about not being in the pic- also, she has her own version from her baptism.

Four generations

And now for the important part- I know you all are dying to know what I’m wearing.

specs: Firmoo
earrings: I made them
cardigan: Land’s End
shirt: Kohl’s
pants: my usual maternity pants (they’re so comfortable! I’m choosing to think of them as control-top instead of maternity for now.)
unpictured booties: Kenneth Cole

Be sure to check out all the other FLAPpers!

Congratulations to Sophia!! Ryan cried through his whole Baptism…so happy to hear she didn’t! Your top was perfect for a spring Baptism.

Luckily these are an especially comfortable pair. It looks like I’m wearing dress pants, but they wear like sweats.

Congrats Sophia! You look so pretty in that top – and it’s so colorful! Um, for recently having a baby I would give you serious grace on the pants. God did not intend for us to squeeze into pre-preg stuff 4 weeks pp.
